P-Day 86

Hi Mom,

I guess, here is slightly more details about the zone Conference*. Elder Arden of the 
seventy was here presiding at it. It was cool. He gave an opening little talk. He talked 
about the 7 good decisions he made in his life. 1. Baptism 2. Staying strong 3. Mission 
4. Education 5. Marriage 6.Service 7. Staying strong again. (I think.... I remember him 
saying stay strong twice, Mission, marriage education, and baptism.) 

He also shared life stories and elaborated on those associated with each of the 7 
choices. There were 6 out of the 8 zones there. Fairbanks and Juneau were excluded 
and he traveled to those zones. I got to see Elder Vue again! That was fun. 

President Robinson gave a training on David and Goliath. He just compared the story 
to missionaries. The thing that stuck out to me was learning my stones and using them 
all to slay Goliath. 

Then Elder Arden closed with a training. He called people up and they shared a favorite 
scripture and explain why it was meaningful and then he would talk about it. After he 
asked us to describe the restoration in one word, and then the missionary needed to 
teach that. He asked us to be the missionaries needed to proclaim that message. It was 
cool and interactive. 

But as far as making the Journal, he said, "Alma teaches us that when we teach we 
need to be 'bold but not overbearing' what is the difference?" I replied, "Overbearance 
is boldness without love." He was like "wow, that's going in my Journal after this." 
Now he'll quote me next General Conference lolololol jkjkjk 

That is about it for details.....

Things are going good. The Elder I was with is Elder Poppleton**. Elder Brock was sick 
so we did a temp swap so they could teach a lesson. 

And yeah Joanna got released from Hmong right after I left. So we haven't had a pianist 
in over a year. I'm basically the pianist 😅 If I can play the hymn I do, if not, I press a 
button and the piano does. 97.45 percent of the time I press the button lololol. 

Well the week was pretty uneventful. It was transfers and we had no logistics. But we 
saw Elder Brock off. Last P-Day I cooked him Grandma Cate's spaghetti haha. It turned 
out great actually! Even better than yours 😜

We did a lot of tracting, found some half decent potential investigators but nobody super 
golden. We did recontact Sengduan yesterday. He is on the slope for a little while longer 
working so, hopefully he will be back soon! Then we can baptize him. 

But yeah, we had Stake Conference. It was a lot of good stuff. There were really good 
talks. President Chadwick likes to randomly call on people to come up so they were all 
really inspired.

And just interviews with President. Super inspired message. It was late and super quick 
but they got done quick! We have Zone Conference this week, so probably hosting 
Nome again. 2 zone conferences in 2.5 weeks. 

This Saturday we will do service for the ceremonial first start of the Iditarod! You'll have 
pictures from that next week. 

Did you hear anything back about any colleges? But besides all that there isn't much. I 
love you and miss you!
